Troubleshoot: Driver crash during gameplay
If you are experiencing driver crashes such as the message 'Video driver crashed and was reset!', 'Exiting...' or messages such as ‘Your display driver stopped responding’, please set your lighting level to Common or Cursed in the graphics settings.
To do this please follow the below:
- Press Escape or View if playing with a Xbox controller to bring up the escape menu
- Select Settings
- Select Graphic Settings
- Select Lighting Detail
- Select Common or Cursed
We are working with the GPU vendors to ensure fixes for this issue are available as soon as possible.
If you are experiencing crashes with these lighting levels set please make sure your graphic drivers are to date and follow the instructions at the below link.
