We are aware of an issue in which the Sea of Thieves game update does not always start downloading automatically. This can result in players seeing the following beard errors:

Beigebeard
In order to resolve this issue please follow the steps below.
Part 1
Press the Windows key
Type in 'Microsoft Store' and press Enter
Search the store for Sea of Thieves and press Enter
Select the Sea of Thieves product page
Sea of Thieves Game client should now begin to update
If Part 1 did not work, please try Part 2:
Part 2
Press the Windows key
Type in 'wsreset' and press Enter
Repeat steps found in Part 1
