As Sea of Thieves uses Cross-Region matchmaking by default, this option can be disabled if you are receiving any performance issues due to matching with players from other regions. To change your Cross-Region Matchmaking settings:
- From the Main Menu select Settings
- Scroll down to Matchmaking
- Toggle the option Disable Cross-Region Matchmaking setting
