Sea of Thieves PC Install Instructions

Install process if you have preordered from the Microsoft / Xbox Store

'Sea of Thieves' will appear in 'My Library' on the Microsoft Store and will be available to Install. Select install to begin the install process.

PC installation by a digital code.

1) On PC press the Windows key and type in 'Microsoft Store' and press 'ENTER'

2) Verify the account you wish to have access is logged in. This should be evident at the top right of the screen.

3) Select 'Redeem a code' from the drop-down found at the top right.

4) Enter your code and select 'Next'

5) On success you should get a window like below. Select 'Confirm' to add the game to your account

6) Once redeemed click on the library icon on the bottom left of the Microsoft Store application.

7) Select 'Sea of Thieves'

8) Select 'Install'

9) Follow install process

In the Browser

1. In a browser, go to Redeem code, and then select Sign In.
2. Enter the 25-character prepaid code, and then select Redeem.

Game will now appear in 'My Library' on PC within the Microsoft Store. Select install to begin the install process.

Installation Process if Sea of Thieves Has Been Purchased via Steam 

 If you have purchased Sea of Thieves through Steam, the installation process is straightforward

1.  After confirming your purchase in the Steam Store, navigate to your library
2.  Locate the Sea of Thieves entry in your library
3.  Click the Install button to begin downloading and installing the game

Installation Process if You Have Purchased a Steam Store Code 

1. Open the Steam client and select the “Add a Game” option located at the bottom right.
2. Choose “Activate a Product on Steam.”
3.  When the activation window appears, enter your code carefully, ensuring there are no formatting issues, and click Continue.
4.  Once activated, go to your library.
5. Find Sea of Thieves in the list.
6.  Click the Install button to download and install the game.

Installation Process if Sea of Thieves Has Been Purchased via Battle.net 

Similar to purchasing directly from Steam, the installation process for Sea of Thieves via the Battle.net Store is straightforward.

1. After purchasing the game, go to the ‘My Games’ section within the Battle.net launcher.
2. Locate Sea of Thieves in the ‘My Games’ list.
3. Click on Sea of Thieves.
4. Click the ‘Install’ button at the bottom left.
5. The game will then begin downloading and installing within Battle.net.

Installation Process if a Battle.net Code Has Been Purchased for Sea of Thieves 

1. Open the Battle.net Desktop App.
2. Click on your profile icon at the top right corner.
3. Select “Redeem Code.”
4. Enter your code carefully to complete the redemption process.
5. Navigate to ‘My Games’ in the Battle.net launcher.
6. Find Sea of Thieves in your game list.
7. Click the ‘Install’ button to begin the download and installation.
