Charcoalbeard - Players being blocked from accessing gameplay

Following the Season 20 launch, a number of players have been receiving Charcoalbeard errors when trying to access gameplay in High Seas and Custom Seas. While a fix is being investigated, it is appearing related to account privacy restrictions on Xbox Live accounts.

As a workaround, please see the following article for accessing your Xbox Live accounts privacy settings:

  • Select the 'Xbox and Windows 10 Online Safety' section
  • Set 'You can join cross-network play' to Allow.
