If the game is suspending when alt+tabbing and returning you to the main menu please try play in windows mode. You can do this from the game settings or by pressing 'ALT + ENTER'. Rest assured the team are still looking into the cause of this.
If this does not work please try the below:
- The laptop you are using is running on battery when the game was started, or is in a battery saver mode.
- The game is not allowed to run in the background. The user can check if this is the case by
typing “Choose which apps can run in the background” then ensuring Sea of Thieves is set to On.
- You may have too many other apps open that Windows wants the memory or processing power for. Try closing additional applications that are running in the background.
- The laptop is not set to High performance mode (Control panel > Power options)
