When navigating the settings menus, by default ‘Escape’ returns the player back to the top-level menu, even when navigating through sub-menus. This setting changes the function of ‘Escape’ and allows the player to step back through each sub-menu, requiring multiple presses to return to the top-level menu.
- Navigate to Settings - Input
- Move down to the section titled Misc
- Set Escape as Back to On
