Support - Enforcement Policy Updates

In order to clarify our enforcement policy in regards to certain actions, please take a look at the following guidance:

Using Crosshair Overlays

While the use of Third-Party Tools is against the Sea of Thieves Code of Conduct, the use of Software, Monitor features or Physical solutions to overlay a Crosshair on the screen will not be a bannable offence if used for Sea of Thieves.

Sea of Thieves, however, does utilise an Anti-Cheat solution alongside other security tools to protect players from malicious users. Therefore, if an external solution providing Crosshair tools does become flagged by one of these security systems, players may find themselves under enforcement for its use.

The use of Software, Monitor features or Physical solutions to provide a Crosshair Overlay is therefore fully at your own risk.

Tampering with Game Files

Tampering with game files is against the Sea of Thieves Code of Conduct, this includes but is not limited to manipulating settings found within the installation folder or adding additional files with the intent to modify the experience.

However, it is not a bannable offence for players to use tools to control their graphics driver settings, such as NVIDIA Control Panel, AMD software or Intel Graphics Software.

Using ReShade Filters

The use of Third-Party Tools to modify the visual experience of Sea of Thieves such as ReShade filters is considered a bannable offence.
