How to report a player through Xbox Live

If you wish to report another player directly to Xbox Live, or you are receiving forms of toxicity outside of Sea of Thieves such as through the Xbox Live messaging service, please use one of the following methods:

How to report a player via Xbox Live on Windows:

Someone in your Crew:

  1. Press Escape whilst in-game to bring up the main menu.
  2. Select My Crew
  3. Select View Gamer Card
  4. Select Report

Outside of the game or your crew:

Xbox Console Companion App

  1. Press the Windows Key
  2. Type in Xbox Console Companion and open up the Xbox Console Companion app
  3. From the Friends & Clubs list on the right, click the down arrow next to 'All' and select 'Recent Players'
  4. Select the player you wish to report
  5. Select More
  6. Select Report

Through your Web Browser

  1. Proceed to https://account.xbox.com/
  2. Sign into your account when prompted
  3. From the top left corner of the menu, select 'Profile'
  4. Viewing the Friends list on the right hand side of the screen, click the down arrow for 'All' and select 'Recent Players'
  5. Select the Player you wish to report
  6. Select More -- Report on the drop-down on their Gamercard.

How to report a player via Xbox Live on Xbox:

Someone in your Crew:

  1. Press the Menu button whilst in-game to bring up the Pause menu. 
  2. Select My Crew
  3. Select View Gamer Card
  4. Select Report

Outside of the game or your crew:

  1. Press the Guide  button
  2. Scroll left once to get to the People tab
  3. Select Recent Players
  4. Select the Player you wish to report
  5. Select Report
